I’m Shelby Vittek, an award-winning journalist and essayist. My food writing has won several awards from the Association of Food Journalists, and my work has appeared in the Washington Post, Longreads, Catapult, Narratively, Bon Appétit’s Healthyish, National Geographic, Wine Enthusiast, New Jersey Monthly, The Kitchn, Well+Good, The Record, Table Matters, The Smart Set, Philadelphia Daily News, among others.

I’m currently the Associate Editor at New Jersey Monthly. I hold an MFA from Rutgers University–Camden and have taught at Rutgers University–Camden and Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA. My clips can be found in the categories on the homepage.
