I’m Shelby Vittek, an award-winning journalist and essayist. My food writing has won several awards from the Association of Food Journalists, and my work has appeared in the Washington Post, Bon Appétit, National Geographic, New Jersey Monthly, The Kitchn, The Record, Table Matters, The Smart Set, Philadelphia Daily News, among others.
I’m currently at work on a book about redhead culture, and am the Associate Editor at New Jersey Monthly. I hold an MFA from Rutgers University—Camden and teach creative writing at Rutgers University—Camden and Cedar Crest College. My clips can be found in the categories on the homepage.
